NEWARKâ A Newark police officer fired his gun while trying to arrest a suspect in the city Friday night, authorities said.Police went to a residence on Goble Street around 8 p.m. to search for someone wanted by Elizabeth authorities, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A.
